We are getting closer to the final chapter of the 2016 season. Someone is three wins away from being the world champions. Let’s see who makes it down to the final four, on to the picks!
SEA at ATL Saturday 3:35 PM CST FOX
Atlanta had a great game plan the last time these two teams played. If it was not for an untimely non call on a clear pass interference, Atlanta likely would have won the game. Now these two teams are different with Wilson being healthy again, but this game is being played in Atlanta where Matty Ice has been red hot. Look for points in bunches this game.
Falcons 35 Seahawks 21
HOU at NE 7:15 PM CST NBC
Yes, there is still the feel good story of Houston may be the first team to ever host a Super Bowl, not going to happen. It is nice for them to have made it this far. Truth is, they are now facing the Patriots, who have an extra week of rest, and who shut them out earlier this season, and who is playing at home, and who also still have vengeance on their mind. Patriots send a message to the rest of the playoff teams.
Patriots 42 Texans 10
PIT at KC Sunday 12:05 PM CST CBS
The Steelers are in a familiar spot. Just like Green Bay in the next game, they played in this same slot last weekend. Now they are going to Kansas City who has been resting and has some more weapons at their disposal. Roethlisberger’s injury may come only slightly in effect this game. The three B’s do still come up big even with the tough Kansas City defense.
Steelers 29 Chiefs 27
GB at DAL 3:40 PM CST FOX
This game, and the one preceding this should provide for some great thrills this weekend. Green Bay’s offense has come alive after being sluggish in their first meeting. Also the turnovers for Green Bay has been cut way down. The Cowboys are also starting two rookies at key positions making their first playoff appearance. The key for Green Bay will be to get up earlier and force the Cowboys to throw to play catch up. Green Bay has the team that can slow down but not stop the run, and will have to rely on this to move on.
Packers 38 Cowboys 28
Only two more write ups this year after this weekend with a break in between them. Soon the weather will be getting warmer and we will start talking baseball again. Until next week –
